As the owner of a service business that performs 85-90% of it's work outdoors, knowing the daily forecast for wind and precipitation is vital. I have found local network weather to be too generally stated to allow for properly timed delayed starts and or crew/route scheduling and found that the combination of the TWC's hourly forecast and map in motion to be my best option for more accurate planning.

It is disheartening, to say the least, that they have become much more concerned about the money they can make from their advertisers than they are about providing quick easy access to weather information. The site is so loaded with advertisements and video that you either have to set your alarm clock 10 minutes earlier or buy a state of the art high end computer with a T1 connection to load the site. I have always put quality of service ahead of short term profit and sincerely believe all businesses should function that way. If another option for hourly and map in motion becomes available, I will switch in a heartbeat to ensure that TWC gets that message loud and clear.

At the very least there should be an option to opt out of videos but that would, no doubt, be less attractive to their advertisers.

Their greed has opened the door for the competition folks ... who's interested?

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Preferred solution: Cut the number of ads running in half, do not have the videos set to auto load or provide users with the ability to opt out of videos.

I liked: Information available.

I didn't like: Time it takes to access the desired information.
